Perry and Lora Sigesmund understand what it takes to run a successful furniture and design business. Both of their parents owned furniture stores. In addition, Perry had a furniture and design store in Ohio and a design firm in Upper St. Clair. It made perfect sense for them to combine their knowledge and open PerLora (Perry + Lora) 30 years ago.

They carried forward the legacy of the values and traditions they learned from working in their family businesses. They place a great deal of emphasis on quality furnishings, exceptional design and excellent customer service. Traveling all over the world to bring unique home furnishings to PerLora, their mission is to create a home furnishing store with a look, feel and smell like no other store in Pittsburgh.

With an Interior Architecture M.S from Pratt Institute, Quinn honed his skills designing luxury showrooms for fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg and other high-end apparel retailers. Upon his return to his native Pennsylvania, Quinn transitioned to the realm of residential interiors, and has continued to refine, and define his niche.

Quinn finds this opportunity with PerLora, and his clients are better for it.  With his architectural eye, training in furniture design from a semester in Denmark, and an ability to perceive a client's style within moments, Quinn has designed lovely transitional homes in the suburbs to crisp, contemporary downtown penthouses, and views every home as an opportunity to create something new, unique, and personal - for you.

Craig has been with PerLora since it opened its doors in 1994 and his masterful design skills are an enormous facet of what makes PerLora exceptional. Numerous homeowners throughout Pittsburgh would undoubtably agree. Craig relishes sharing his creativity with clients while simultaneously forging new and exciting relationships with them. In fact, many have come to call him a trusted friend and confidant over the years.

Craig believes PerLora’s ultra-personalized experience, singular luxury furniture selection and expert design solutions are what truly make it exceptional. Like all PerLora designers, when Craig creates a solution, it’s the perfect expression of their personality and taste. And that means it’s one-of-a-kind - just like Craig himself.

Matthew views himself as PerLora’s jack of all trades. And he loves being part of a storied local business that offers something both rare and distinctive to clients throughout the region.

Because of this and so much more, Matthew is a cornerstone of PerLora’s personalized experience. He truly cares about ensuring every client receives the attention, curated selection advice and design solutions that are right for them. And with so many luxury furniture lines to choose from, the combinations are endless. Which is fitting, because Matthew’s devotion to our clients is, too. 

Loving all things design, as Jennifer does, makes her clients happy, as she brings a well-rounded background involving fashion and interiors to the table. Jennifer began her career in fashion before moving into home and interior design, and she has deep experience in the industry, working in every role from showroom manager and buyer to her current position as designer. One of the things Jennifer loves about being a designer is the universe of customizable furniture options at her fingertips. She’s never at a loss to find just the right way to express a client’s unique taste through her work. That’s just one of the many reasons people go out of their way to visit PerLora - and Jennifer.

Alex and Design have always shared the same perch, even in elementary school, he was "that kid" who carried around a stack of sketchbooks rather than a Game Boy. That followed into his education at Chatham University's Interior Architecture BS Program. This solidified his approach to design: Good Design is purely aesthetic, but great design not only gives the client a rush of excitement but also practicality and functionality everyday. No matter the client, Alex believes that your home should work for you rather than against while also being beautiful. He's an expert at making you the envy of the neighborhood, and crafting it in such a way that makes coming home just that much sweeter.

As much as he tries not to let it slip out at PerLora, it's almost impossible to get through a conversation with him that doesn't have a small tie into cars. Alex is an avid car enthusiast that always keeps a small collection of eclectic cars from around the world that he loves to work on , restore, and drive. He'll drive and talk about anything he can get his hands on so if you're a fellow gearhead ask for him!

Zachary believes each living space provides a special challenge that allows him to express both his creativity and problem-solving skills. So, his design solutions match each client’s lifestyle with a beautiful blend of layout, color and functionality.

Using his imagination daily is one of the aspects Zachary relishes about working at PerLora. And he especially loves when clients return with new projects (which happens a lot!) Above all, Zachary believe being part of the design team helps him enhance the lives of Pittsburghers in ways they never thought possible.

When visiting PerLora’s Southside location, customers always receive a warm greeting. Sometimes it’s a kind word and a question about their needs. Other times it’s a welcome “woof” and the invitation to a tummy rub.

The latter come from Cooper & Marley. Though not their official breed, consider them “comfort hounds.” Surrounded by more than 400 lines of luxury furniture, they’ve experienced a great many over the years.
