In New Zealand-based artist Phil Price’s OPTO sculpture, the yellow circles on the steel post are wind driven. The wavy steel post evokes a lighthouse. The two orange kinetic rings stand up in a no wind situation. As the wind blows the rings roll over and stand up again, creating an infinite range of movements. The concept around it revolves around looking and changing. Looking out to the bay, looking at ourselves, looking to the future, we look through the rings at a framed landscape.
